Yet another thing I like about World of Warcraft is that its communications seem to be a cross between the old text-based RPG Multi-user Dungeons (MUDs) and the new cool graphical RPGs. The text-based RPG bit comes across in the ways you can do things from the command-line that there is no button to click on to do otherwise.
Here's a list of "emotions" or "emotes" that your character can use on the game through the command line. All of these emotes need a / put in front of them in order to work. Some emotes will cause your character to move and act, while other emotes just put text information on local people's screens so they can "imagine" the action taking place (for example, hugging someone doesn't get visually displayed except in text)
