The WoW economy offers a lot of opportunities for traders. I noticed that there really are players out there who don%26#8217;t care about the true value of the goods that they are selling. Some just want to be able to get rid of their inventory and get a nice sum of change afterwards.
Now, remember the Part 3 of this series? I bought the Six of Lunacy card for around 110g. I%26#8217;m planning to sell it with a 10%-20% mark-up.
3-Day Avg amounts to a little over 200g. So in the 6 times that Auctioneer saw this item in the auction house, it was priced at 200g with the mean price hovering at 187g. The large standard deviation is probably due to the lack of data points (6?). This tells me that the market doesn%26#8217;t have a clue as to the true value of the item. This is where I make a killing.
How to make more than 27,000g Daily
I was never a gold freak in the game, but this player over here is really raking it in. I was using his techniques but not on this massive scale. Read about my auction house techniques. Click here to find out how this guy is making 27,000g daily.You can use this in conjunction with my auction house trading guide.
For high ticket items like this you%26#8217;ll probably want to have at least 200g in your pocket to perform these kinds of trades. Just follow the steps below:
- Auctioneer Scan Regularly
- Watch the trade channel for WTS items
- BARGAIN
- Make sure to get the items at a discount
- BUY and SELL
Bargaining Tips
Always ask the price first. %26#8220;How much are you willing to sell [insert item here]?%26#8221;
Answers sometimes range from : %26#8220;x gold%26#8221; to %26#8220;make me an offer%26#8221;. If it%26#8217;s X gold%26#8230; and when you check for price averages using the tooltips (like the one above) and see that the sellers asking price is below the avg. prices in the market, then try buying it at an even lower price. If the seller does not budge then ask him if he%26#8217;s willing to sell %26#8220;in bulk%26#8221; (buy more of the same item, at a discount price per item unit).
If the player says, %26#8220;make me an offer%26#8221; %26#8230;check the tooltips for avg. prices and then markdown the price by 30 to 40%. He%26#8217;ll most likely deny your offer so markdown the price by 25 to 30% or 20 to 25% until you reach for a settlement.
Believe me, there%26#8217;s a LOT of money to be made by doing this over and over again. In my experience, the best time for me to buy is Fridays to Sundays, where there are lots of players willing to dump their wares in exchange for gold.
Patch 2.4 just arrived and I haven%26#8217;t gotten the chance to sell my Six of Lunacy. I will post it in the AH or sell it via the trade channel. I%26#8217;ll let you know how much I sold it for.
Cheers
