I have mentioned in my previous guide that it is possible to play World of Warcraft with a trial account and that it is absolutely free. But what happens when you want to upgrade already?
A lot of people are having trouble with securing a credit card from their parents or for themselves. Hence, when it%26#8217;s time to make the leap from a World of Warcraft trial account to a full WoW Account, they get stuck because they don%26#8217;t have a credit card or a valid one at that to upgrade it via the World of Warcraft website.
But as always there is a way! I%26#8217;m not saying that you can get World of Warcraft for free but I am going to enumerate some ways by which you can upgrade your trial account into a full one.
There are actually two options for you:
- Purchase it offline - Go to your local Best Buy, Walmart, or favorite PC game or video game store and purchase the World of Warcraft box. This will have an activated World of Warcraft key. It sells for around $20, the same price that you would pay for a digital upgrade of your account.
- Purchase it online - I%26#8217;ll tell you where the safest place is online to purchase your World of Warcraft key (it%26#8217;s the cheapest too outside of Blizzard) and it comes with 30 days free playing time. You can pay via Paypal so a credit card won%26#8217;t be necessary (but of course you have to load your Paypal account with money%26#8230;you can do so via a wire transfer from your bank%26#8230; Paypal has a couple of instructions for you in order to do this)

The reason why I recommend Offgamers is that it was recently used by my friend who was having trouble with his account because he didn%26#8217;t have a credit card and he did not want to use his parents%26#8217;. So I was just surprised that he messaged me in the game after his 10 Day World of Warcraft trial account expired. So I asked him about how he was able to get a full account without a credit card.

Some notes:
Some people think that buying a new key that is different from the one they got from trial will force them to start a new character using the new key. That is not true. In your account management page, once your trial account is done, you can enter an activated CD Key (the one you purchased offline or online) in order to fully upgrade your account. Hence, you can continue the adventure with the character you played during your trial phase.
