Blizzard wants you to spread the World of Warcraft bug. Introduce a friend/relative/acquaintance of yours to World of Warcraft, and Blizzard will be only too happy to fork out loads of in-game bonuses and perks for you.
With it's new %26quot;Recruit-A-Friend%26quot; initiative, Blizzard is hoping to tempt its wide user base to encourage more people to get in the game. As this new scheme goes, World of Warcraft players who invite another person through the Recruit-A-Friend programme will enjoy a number of benefits. That is, after the invited person upgrades to retail version AND purchases two months of game time, of course. But anyway, getting a friend hooked on World of Warcraft shouldn't be hard to do, should it?
The benefits that can be obtained through this Recruit-A-Friend programme are:
A new, exclusive in-game zhevra mount.
Characters on both accounts can summon each other once per hour.
While adventuring with your linked friend/family member, you will each gain triple experience.
For every two levels the new player earns, the new player can grant one free level-up to a lower-level character played by the veteran player.
Note that the bonuses which are directly linked to the invited player wear off 90 days after the invited player creates an account. Additionally, you will get 30 days game time for free with the first 30 days of game time purchased by any player invited by yourself.
